Mumetal stress annealed alloy is available in many forms but most shields are fabricated from our sheet stock in gauges from 014 to 062 thickness 0 36mm to 1 57mm. Very flexible and easy to cut with scissors. Anything below 0 020 thick is difficult to weld other than with spot welding. Our supply is stocked in select gauges.

Although mu metal comes in various thicknesses it is a rather soft material and may prove to be difficult to work with if it is too thin. Co netic is also used where high attenuation is desired. Sheet in gauges 0 014 to 0 080 thickness 0 36mm to 2 00mm plate in gauges from 0 098 to 0 197 thickness 2 5mm to 5 0mm and foil in gauges from 002 to 010 thickness 0 05mm to 0 25mm. Mumetal alloy is available in many forms but most shields are fabricated from either our plate sheet or coil stock.
